Mortlach is one of seven distilleries around Dufftown. One of the few distilleries allowed to keep producing during World War II. G&M still hold Mortlach distillation from these years. It is one of a handful of whiskies that can withstand long ageing in oak. Initially sweet, fresh and fragrant with a distinct malty nose.
